Happy Mother's Day to you, superheroines

Today in this article dedicated to Mother's Day, we want to talk about you, Moms

Parenthood is a lot of work. And even if your children have grown up, and even if they were from infancy, as they say, "gift children" - you still do a lot of work day by day being "only" a mom.

Our store presents products for children to grow up happy and develop harmoniously. We are used to talking with you about how to take care of children, how to develop them, how to make them happy. Our store employs a lot of moms of children of different ages, and this is also important for us.

But on Mother's Day, we want to remind everyone, and you moms reading this, first and foremost, that the foundation of caring for a child is caring for his or her mother. A person who is always on guard, has no vacations or days off, and has every right to have her own needs and demands taken care of. It's not shameful, it's not wrong. It's normal. It's normal that you're tired. It's okay that your kids annoy you sometimes. It's normal that sometimes you want to escape to a desert island for at least a month and just be there in silence.

In today's world there is a lot of different information on all kinds of issues. Including on the issues of motherhood. You can find the answer to any question: how to care for a newborn, how to monitor health, what toys to play with, how to communicate, how to provide a safe environment, how to teach your baby, how to behave with strangers, and so much more on all occasions. There are certainly many advantages to this. But it also has disadvantages, unwittingly we mothers build in our heads an unattainable image of an ideal mother who knows everything, can everything, is always in high spirits, take care of kids, provides them with an exclusively healthy diet and...doesn't exist. But there's no reason why we shouldn't compare ourselves with the very same shining image and be alarmed by the inconsistencies found.

So it is today, on Mother's Day, that we want to say something to you moms:

  1. You are a good mom! And that's enough already. You take care of your children, you wish them the very best, you're willing to sacrifice a lot for them. So you're already a good mom. Period.
  • Even if my child sometimes eats sweets?
  • Yes.
  • Even if my child sometimes looks at mobile phone while I lack energy to entertain him/her?
  • Yes.
  • Even if we don't walk every day?
  • Yes.
  • Even if I sometimes get angry and storm at my child?
  • Yes.
  • Even if I chose my own career over the role of housewife (also certainly an honorable one)?
  • Yes

Without any “even”. You're just a great mom!!!

  1. It's perfectly normal to get tired of your kids and want to spend time without them. Someone needs more communication, someone needs less. But no one is constantly ready for communication and involvement 24/7 all the time. You're tired and you want to spend time without your kids - it only tells you that you're a human, not a robot. And it certainly says nothing about your qualities as a mother.
  2. It's okay to show concern for yourself. Leaving the baby with daddy or grandma or the babysitter and going to the spa. Or close the door in your room and read your favorite book alone. Or go for a walk in silence. Or, the shame of it, even go on vacation without the kids. By taking care of yourself, you are taking care of your child.
  3. It's okay to behave with your child the way you see fit. No counselor, even one who sees your child often, no book, even the best one, knows what is best for you and your child. You are a mother, you see your child every day, and you know all his/her peculiarities. You know best.
  4. It's okay not to feel ashamed of your own imperfection. There will always be something about motherhood that you can't do, won't have time for, or just don't want to do. There is no shame in that. We're sure you're doing as much as you can. And that is enough.

Dear moms of the children our store works for, we appreciate you, love you, respect you and think you are the best for your children. Happy Mother's Day to you, superheroines!
